The Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, as part of his day of institutional visits to Catanzaro, also stopped at the Politeama theater, accompanied by the Undersecretary inside, Wanda Ferro. This was welcomed by the superintendent Antonietta Santacroce, together with the members of the Board of Directors, to the employees and collaborators of the Politeama Foundation. To represent the municipal administration also the deputy mayor Giusy Iemma and the councilor for culture Donatella Monteverdi, also present the vice -president of the province of Catanzaro, Francesco Fragomele.
Minister Giuli entertained himself on the stage of the theater, led by the technical manager of Politeama, Nicola Santopolo, showing curiosities and interest in the origins and history of one of the younger Italian theaters, among the large ones, architecture jewel signed by Paolo Portoghesi. The minister himself expressed alive complacency for the rich and varied programming proposed by the Foundation, also thanks to the involvement and participation of the artists and talents of the territory, representing an important opportunity for economic and social induced. The visit ended with the delivery to Minister Giuli, by the Santacroce Superintendent, of a volume and a coin dedicated to the theater. The Politeama Foundation highlighted gratitude and pride for the institutional attention that the highest charge of culture in Italy has reserved for the public theater of Catanzaro.
