A port at the height of its functionality, enhancement of the coastline with quality services and tourism. These are the three guidelines indicated by the former regional councilor Francesco Pitaro as development guidelines for the seaside district, during the meeting promoted in Lido by the “Catanzaro turning point” movement. The coordinator of the movement reiterated, during the initiative coordinated by the journalist Rosita Mercatante, that «the relaunch of the city will be possible if all its parts, from North to South, start marching again in an overall logic. The objective is a Catanzaro capable of overcoming the systemic crisis affecting politics, bureaucracy and the city’s relational capabilities with other institutions and the rest of the country”. But at the same time, he added, “the objective is to guarantee effective mobility, legality and safety and a better quality of life”.
