A purchase with a dual effect that the municipal administration intends to carry out on Palazzo “Scaccomatto”: giving security to the accounts of the investee company Catanzaro Servizi, which is paying a lease on that property, and making use of a prestigious asset. The road has been outlined in the past weeks and the mayor Nicola Fioritawith the Heritage Councilor Antonio Battagliathey also discussed it in the council commission. The next, and decisive, stage is that of the municipal council (tomorrow the group leader) called to decide on the green light for the acquisition. But the Action council group intends to see clearly on this path and its support cannot be taken for granted, even in light of the recent entry into the majority.
The administration has 1.45 million euros ready for the purchase of 1,360 m2 spread over three levels and 4 garages and 8 covered parking spaces. The Revenue Agency valued the real estate complex at 2.51 million, therefore the operation is considered completely convenient, also because it is a recently built building which, therefore, does not require renovation or adaptation. To do this you want to take the path of taking out a mortgage with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, with an annual installment of around 130 thousand euros. Currently the Municipality pays a rent of 146 thousand euros per year to Catanzaro Servizi (which in turn pays a lease of 270 thousand euros) for the allocation of the Heritage and Taxes offices located from the fifth to the seventh floor. The mortgage payment would therefore be lower than the costs incurred so far.
