Catanzaro, “Recapp-Call” project. Minister Valditara arrives at the Citadel

From the Calabria Region a pilot project to reduce the educational gaps between Calabrian schools and the rest of Italy, improving the results in the Invalsi tests.

On Wednesday 3 April, at 11.30 am, in the green room of the regional Citadel, the regional experimental project will be presented on a national scale “ReCapp Cal” – Recovery of basic learning in Italian and mathematics, with the aim of bridging territorial imbalances and training gaps linked to the key skills of Calabrian students, implementing a new educational and motivational methodological approach to successfully face the Invalsi tests.

The project, financed by the Education Department of the Calabria Region with 5 million euros, will be developed in calendar years. 2024/2026 and will be taken, in agreement with Invalsi, as a national prototype to be replicated in those regions characterized by gaps in student learning levels compared to the national standard.

The project, supported by the Ministry of Education and Merit, sees the following bodies jointly involved for the first time: Calabria Region Education Department, Regional School Office, Calabrian University System (Unical, Magna Grecia and Mediterranea), Bocconi University and Invalsi.

On this occasion, the following will intervene: the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, the president of the Region, Roberto Occhiuto, the vice president, Giusi Princi, the president of Invalsi, Roberto Ricci, the director of the regional school office, Antonella Iunti.

The Rectors of the academic systems involved will also be present: Nicola Leone (Unical Cosenza), Giovanni Cuda (University Magna Grecia Catanzaro), Giuseppe Zimbalatti (Mediterranean University Reggio Calabria), Francesco Billari (Bocconi Milan).
