The first citizen of Caulonia, Francesco Cagliusothus responds to the minority group “RinnoviAmo Caulonia” which on Thursday had publicly asked him for information regarding a meeting, in Catanzaro, between Anas and the Region in which, yesterday, Jonica and A2 were discussed and not only, therefore, the State variant 106 in Caulonia and contested by the entire administration, majority and opposition unanimous, and by the spontaneous Committee 106.
According to what transpired from the regional citadel, during the meeting it was established that the regional officials will contact the mayor and decide whether to call a public meeting.
As for Cagliuso, he reiterates his desire to «continue the dialogue begun in recent weeks with the mayors of the Municipalities of Stilaro-Allaro, awaiting further adhesions from other mayors of Locride, to delve into the question of the new variant of the State Road 106 which falls on Caulonia but which has an impact on the entire area”.
For 16 January, at 6pm, a C. was called to an extraordinary joint sessionmunicipal council at the Frammartino auditorium with the presence of the municipalities of Monasterace, Camini, Riace, Stilo, Pazzano, Bivongi, Stignano and Placanica. Furthermore, representatives of various local associations such as Corsecom, the Civil Protection, the “Spontaneous 106 Committee” and the “Enough victims on the 106” association were invited. The intent is to arrive at a single proposal to be delivered to the Calabria Region, Anas and all interested bodies, for the establishment of a technical table.
