The Board of Directors of Cosenza Calcio, in a note, “firmly publicly denounces yet another act of sabotage against the club. Within a few minutes an organized campaign of insults, threats and shitstorming invaded our channels, forcing Cosenza Calcio to cancel all publications. It is not an isolated episode. It is the continuation of a boycott strategy which for two years has been causing enormous damage to Cosenza Calcio’s coffers”.
“It’s not protest. It’s blackmail. It’s economic vandalism. Cosenza no longer accepts that a noisy and violent minority decides who can or cannot support this team. Freedom of enterprise is enshrined in the Italian Constitution and the club will protect itself in every civil and criminal forum to claim this right. Finally, remember that Cosenza Calcio has a social function, but also an economic one. And to be sustainable, management needs resources.”
