The board of directors of Ebac Calabria has approved an extraordinary **Christmas Bonus of 300 euros** in favor of workers of artisan businesses registered for bilateralism.

The words of president Francesco Pellegrini

“For over thirty years Ebac Calabria has been providing welfare benefits to support income, guaranteeing workers in the sector support that has become structural and fundamental over time” states Francesco Pellegrini, president of the organisation.

“This year – continues Pellegrini – the social partners have decided to invest 100 thousand euros for the Christmas holidays, an important figure for the Calabrian territory which will allow the disbursement of over 330 bonuses to as many workers. An amount that will guarantee many families to face Christmas expenses with greater serenity. The bonus will be paid out through the employers who will have to include it in the first useful paycheck”. The president promises zero bureaucracy and quick clearance times.

Requirements and enhancement of bilaterality

“The possibility of making a request is reserved for artisan businesses registered and in compliance with the contributions to Ebna for at least 36 months – adds vice president Benedetto Cassala -. The social partners have deemed it right to reward those artisan businesses that have always respected the most representative collective agreements.”

“It is useless – he underlines – to pay to fake bilateral bodies that have little to do with collective bargaining which often waste workers’ resources without any real benefit for them”.

“Unfortunately – highlights the vice president – it is always the workers who lose out in a company of crafty people. With this measure we want to reward those who do business in a serious manner and in compliance with workers’ rights which, we remember, are protected by the National Collective Labor Agreements signed by the most representative organisations. The bilateral payment cannot be a mere contribution as an end in itself, as happens with smaller acronyms, but must be a concrete support that reflects the noble principle of mutuality”.

Terms and methods for submitting applications

The notice will be published on 15 December and applications can be submitted from the same date until 15 January exclusively by artisan businesses or by businesses which, although not artisan, apply one of the Crafts National Collective Labor Agreements. After that date, in the event of a surplus of resources, the tender will be open to all members who have accrued 36 months of contributions.
