Cisl Fp Calabria RSU Day: record participation and discussion on the future of the public sector

The “Day of the RSUs of the CISL FP of Calabria” was celebrated yesterday at the Tyrrenia Park Hotel in
Amantea. An initiative organized by the regional and territorial Secretariats of the CISL FP
Calabria, Magna Graecia, Reggio Calabria and Cosenza who convened the assembly
members of the RSUs of the entire Calabrian public sector elected on the lists of the CISL FP ei
Company managers of the CISL Civil Service in the public workplaces

In her introductory greeting, the General Secretary of the CISL FP Calabria, Luciana Giordano, said
first of all thanked the over 500 Union Representatives and Union Managers present
at the event for the overwhelming victory obtained by the CISL FP in the last electoral competition
for the renewal of RSUs in the public sector, reporting well

from ARAN. An extraordinary success that restores and confirms the certainty that the Workers
public recognize themselves in the strategic line of the CISL, in its identity values, based on
dialogue, participation, inclusion, pragmatism and the desire to be
protagonist in this complex scenario characterized by a complicated situation
geopolitics, which inevitably involves our country and Calabria, and by important
transitions that the Public Administration is called upon to govern. In this time
complex, a serious and responsible union is needed, free and autonomous from any influence
external.
The objective of the initiative was to give voice to the RSUs, giving rise to an intense debate
and very well attended with many interventions that saw the real protagonists of the day
precisely the Trade Union Representatives of the CISL Public Service in the workplace. Many
testimonials, proposals, requests and food for thought on contractual renewals of
Public Sector, on the 2026 budget law, on the need for local police reform, on
valorisation of human capital in public work, on pay equalisation
Staff of Local Functions, on the recruitment of healthcare personnel and throughout the public
use. By acting as bearers of the needs and requests of the Workers, representing the first
frontier of trade union relations in the workplace. An initiative aimed, therefore, at giving
more and more voice and power to this important instrument of democracy.
The debate was characterized by the interventions of the three General Secretaries of the CISL FP
Magna Graecia, Tonino D’Aloi, Reggio Calabria, Vincenzo Sera, Cosenza, Pierpaolo Lanciano, who outlined an analysis on the situation of public offices and the state of
decentralized bargaining of the respective Territories, thanking their RSUs for the amazing
success achieved.
The General Secretary of CISL Calabria, Giuseppe Lavia, underlined in his speech
how the public sector constitutes the cornerstone for the development of the country and of Calabria e
dealing with the delicate topic of healthcare, he highlighted that every reform is possible in our Region
of the healthcare organization must be participated. He also reiterated that the CISL is at work
to overcome persistent gaps.
The conclusions were entrusted to the General Secretary of the CISL Public Function
National, Roberto Chierchia, who, in his complete and organic examination, after having expressed
