«The closure of the Limina tunnel on the Ionian-Tyrrhenian it is not inevitable.” Word of the professor Aurelio Misiti, president of the Superior Council of Public Works from 1995 to 2003 and deputy minister of Infrastructures in 2011. Although, like everyone else, he is not aware of the contents of the contracted project for the safety works of the Gallery, Professor Misiti assumes that these works containment and channeling of the water will now be completed. Once this is done, according to Misiti «it will be enough to produce everything necessary to support the tunnel on an external construction site. By doing this – he explains – it would take about a month for the assembly work, which is very different from the twenty months expected to do all the work inside the tunnel.».
