Road accident on the SS280 towards Catanzaro, between the Settingiano and Martelletto junctions. Two cars were involved: a Fiat Panda and a Volkswagen Golf. Following the impact, the Fiat Panda overturned on the road. The passengers of the Golf were unharmed while the four occupants (two adults and two children) of the Fiat Panda were entrusted to the Suem118 medical staff for treatment and subsequent transfer to a hospital.
A team of firefighters from the Catanzaro Command – headquarters – was on site to ensure the safety of the site and the vehicles, the traffic police were responsible for carrying out their duties and Anas personnel were responsible for restoring the normal safety conditions of the road.
In the section affected by the accident, transit took place on a single lane until the end of the rescue operations. Investigations underway regarding the dynamics of the accident.
