The soldiers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Catanzaro executed a confiscation decree issued by the Court of Catanzaro – Section for the application of Prevention Measures, with which the definitive ablation measure was ordered of 8 real estate units and 2 banking relationships for a total value estimated at over 830 thousand euros, following the prevention procedure established against 3 prominent exponents of the “Trapasso” gang of San Leonardo di Cutro (KR).
In 2016 they were involved in the “Borderland” operation of the Catanzaro District Directorate, as leading figures of the mafia association operating in San Leonardo di Cutro (KR), inserted in the Cutro (KR) local branch belonging to the “Grande Aracri”, mainly dedicated to extortion against entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector.
The ablative measure was adopted by the Court of Catanzaro as part of the prevention procedure, on the basis of complex assessments of an economic-financial nature coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Catanzaro – DDA and carried out by the experts of the Organized Crime Investigation Group of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of Catanzaro, which following the analysis of the financial profile of the defendants and their family members found the inconsistency of the value of the assets available with respect to the incomes declared or to the economic activity carried out, a circumstance which had already led to the seizure of the same assets on 02.19.2021.
