The press conference to formalize the establishment of the Territorial Committee for the No to the constitutional referendum scheduled for 22 and 23 March will be held tomorrow, Saturday 7 February at 5 pm, in Paola, at the headquarters of the Libera Scelta movement in via Garibaldi.
The participating realities
The Committee will include Anpi, Libera Scelta, CGIL, Auser, Lawyers for the No and Magistrates for the No, already active in the provincial Committee for the No inaugurated in Cosenza last 20 January. Membership also remains open to individual citizens and associations who intend to contribute to the campaign in defense of the Constitution.
The conference and the analysis of the reform
During the meeting, Professor Donatella Loprieno, professor of constitutional law at the University of Calabria, will speak and illustrate the risks linked to the constitutional reform which is the subject of the referendum. At the center of the analysis, the concrete effects that the proposed changes could have on the balance between the powers of the State and on the lives of citizens.
The promoters underline how the referendum choice must be based on knowledge of the text and its consequences, believing that the reform affects some of the most delicate articles of the Constitution and alters the structure of relations between the judiciary and politics. Hence the appeal for conscious and informed participation in the vote.
