The councilor for social policies of the Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano Marinella Grillo was injured this morning in a road accident. The woman suffered several injuries but remained conscious and her life is not in danger. The car in which Grillo was travelling, an Opel Mokka, overturned following a collision with a van on the Ionian state road 106 near the industrial area of Corigliano. An ambulance from 118 intervened on the scene, whose medics provided first aid to Grillo and then arranged for him to be transferred by air ambulance to the Cosenza hospital for further checks. Investigations are underway to establish the exact dynamics of the accident and any responsibilities.
