The mayor, Franz Caruso, would not mind the idea of a greenery master plan. Quite apart from the joke, the mayor’s emphasis during the end-of-year press conference held yesterday morning in the Town Hall served to highlight the constant commitment made by the municipal administration so that the city is increasingly projected towards sustainability and urban decorum: «Of course, much still remains to be done – Caruso reiterated – but we have already achieved many objectives in this sense», recalling, for example, the planting of thousands of new trees and hedges, the redevelopment of the Crati and Busento rivers, sustainable mobility, waste management, the percentage increase in separate waste collection, the environmental awareness and education campaign and the installation of camera traps.
