Cosenza returns from the “Tardini” with a point that allows them to defuse any psychological backlash after the home defeat against Sampdoria and is looking forward to Sunday’s derby with the awareness of its abilities gathered during the match against the league leaders from Pecchia.
The rossoblù manage to resume the match and come close to scoring a coup. Parma, in fact, immediately unlocked it with Cyprien who, on the fly, from outside the area found Micai unprepared. Cosenza tries to react with Tutino (wrong lob in the 4th minute) and Marras (wide diagonal shot in the 6th minute). The match is lively. The ducals also try in the 12th minute but Man misses the target from around 20 metres.
The rossoblù are in the game. The Caserta team manages to free itself from the yellow-blue pressure and sting like when Antonucci sends a ball out following a suggestion into Tutino’s space (20′).
Cosenza, with Calò on the pitch, also has another weapon: free kicks. In the 35th minute Venturi is blocked by Hernani but in the 40th minute Camporese breaks away with the right timing and beats Chichizola to make it 1-1. The challenge is wide open, the Sila team are determined and in the 43rd minute the post says no to Tutino on Frabotta’s cross.
The second half begins with Calò hitting the post from a free kick (8′), then Chichizola saves himself from Tutino and blocks Voca’s shot (11′) while on the other side Micai redeems himself from Cyprien (17′). The Parma players were then left with ten men due to the expulsion of Balogh (double yellow) seventeen minutes into the ninetieth minute. Outnumbered, the yellow-blues have the best opportunity: Man hits the crossbar. Tutino however, in the sixth minute of injury time, arrived early and missed the knockout shot with an empty net, at the far post, following Canotto’s cross.
