Cosenza loses at home against Sassuolo in the Italian Cup. Looking at the score (5-2) there would seem to have been little history between the two teams. But we have to go further. Because Caserta’s rossoblù held their ground until the beginning of extra time, when they then collapsed under the blows of the Sassuolo players galvanized by Ceide’s 3-2 and numerical superiority (Calò’s expulsion). Martino’s own goal and Mulattieri’s goal fixed the score, making the punishment for the “wolves” of Caserta extremely severe. In regulation time, Tutino scored on a penalty (questionable the decision not to send off – but warn Viti – on the occasion of the foul that causes the penalty), Bajrami, Pinamonti (another penalty) and Mazzocchi.
