Umbria again for Cosenza's pre-season work. The rossoblù will carry out their training camp in Cascia. The location in the province of Perugia was chosen by the rossoblù club to prepare for the next season. The decision was made official in the last few hours despite the attempt made by the Province in recent weeks to “keep” Cosenza a few steps from home.
The start of redevelopment works at the sports facilities of Lorica and San Giovanni in Fiore could be useful in the second part of the summer (there, the rossoblù could present themselves to face the teams that will be hosted by the structures) as well as in a future perspective.
Meanwhile, from 13 to 27 July, Cosenza will train at the “Magrelli Active” sports center and on the same days they will stay at the La Corte hotel. Here they will replace Ternana, fresh from two consecutive seasons in what will become the Bruzio headquarters for two weeks. A year ago, however, the Sila association prepared its season in Costano (staying in Assisi), located ninety kilometers away from the venue chosen in this case. However, the solution identified is certainly not comfortable for Wolves supporters, since it is 600 kilometers from Cosenza.
As happened in previous years, however, the fans' affection will not fail the rossoblù, who will be followed especially on the occasion of the friendly matches that will characterize the first phase of the work. The Via degli Stadi club has not yet communicated the Umbrian test calendar. He will do so in the next few hours, consequently defining the path that will precede the official debut in the thirty-second round of the Italian Cup (the Cosenza rivals should be Torino). The start of the cadet championship, a few days later, is scheduled for the weekend between 16 and 18 August.
Gemmi remains distant. No news on the chapter linked to the sporting director. Roberto Gemmi's future on the banks of the Crati, however, is increasingly in question. Time evidently does not play in favor of the sporting director from Campania. Almost a month after the end of the championship, the lack of decisive meeting with Eugenio Guarascio increasingly becomes the main clue to identify the strong reflections of the Sila president regarding the continuity of the former Pisa. The distance between the parties had already become apparent in recent weeks. A distance that has not shortened in recent days.
In these, Gemmi was linked to various companies. The latest to appear on the scene would seem to be Empoli, looking for a successor for Pietro Accardi, who has terminated his contract with the Tuscans and will join Sampdoria.
