Cosenza, the smile of Caserta: “The market satisfies me, I know Forte and Canotto. Thanks to the pres, we also kept Florenzi.” Brescia tomorrow

By John

Once the transfer window is closed, the championship chapter reopens for Cosenza di Caserta too. It is inevitable, however, to put a stop to the transfer campaign which ended yesterday. The rossoblù coach, on the eve of the away match against Brescia, takes stock.

Energy to manage

«In the minds of footballers we always think about the transfer market and it could have been a danger. Finally the session closed. As for the pitch, we played close matches and paid the price physically. It’s difficult to manage energy for 90 minutes, because we are a team devoted to attack. It is necessary to find the right balance. We come from matches in which we spent a lot, while the Brescia we face tomorrow have only played a few friendly matches. We have to show up focused. A difficult race, we will have to suffer. We also have important resources from the bench: the starters are important but the substitutes often make the difference.”

Market and thanks

“New arrivals? They joined, but only Canotto will be available because Forte is disqualified. I know them, I have already trained them and they know what I ask. Now we can also play during the match with two pure attackers. The stop will help us to better evaluate other solutions. The important thing is to maintain the game philosophy. Are there few of us behind? There was no point in taking other players because of today’s emergency (Martino, Lavardera and Cimino out: ndc) which will no longer be there in a few days. I want to thank D’Urso and Finotto who left the team. The first of the two played a lot, the second, although aware that he hadn’t done very well, always remained focused and gave his all. I thank the club and the president, he made an important effort, managing to also keep Florenzi (there was pressure from Bari: ndc) and other footballers. Now it’s our turn to give everything on the pitch.”

The match with Brescia

«It will be a difficult match, it is never easy to play behind closed doors. We have an obligation to stay focused and alert. They are motivated because it is their first official match. It’s essential to start again immediately after a defeat, even if it comes at the end of a good performance.”
