Cosenza’s view is wide-ranging. So, after Christian Kouan (born in 1999), Richard Ciervo (class of 2002), Andrea Rizzo Pinnamade official yesterday (the versatile offensive player signed a three-year contract), now Gennaro Delvecchio is preparing to strike the fourth blow since becoming the Silan sporting director.
Assault on Dalle Mura. With the deal for Rizzo Pinna now closed, who arrived as a free agent after a two-year experience at Lucchese, the attention of the club from via degli Stadi is focused on Christian Dalle Mura. The central defender is another young profile (he too, like Ciervo, was born in 2002) and who is spoken of very well. The central defender, owned by Fiorentina, a club with which he is under contract until 30 June 2025, played for Ternana in the second part of the season just ended, with whom he was unable to avoid relegation. The defender from Pietrasanta, always present in the minor national teams (he played with all the selections from the Under 15s onwards, up to the Under 21s), has become a fixed linchpin of the rossoverdi after an initial period of adaptation and physical running-in during which he recovered the gap compared to his teammates (in Fiorentina he had remained without minutes of play until January). Dalle Mura, who has already played in Calabria in the past wearing the Reggina jersey (he also played for Cremonese, Pordenone and Spal), is a natural left-hander. A profile that has so far been absent from the Lupi team.
The deal should be finalized in the next few hours. Cosenza aims to acquire the 22-year-old’s services outright. In this case, Fiorentina would reserve a percentage from a future sale. Details around which the operation will continue to be structured in the coming hours.
The footballer, therefore, is destined to become the second Under 23 taken by Delvecchio, who among other things must remodel the Cosenza under park.
Despite what the sports director claimed on the day of his presentation press conference, the rossoblù are continuing to carefully sift through the national market, also in light of the new parameters regarding mutuality. The desire to build a young, prospective squad that, in certain cases, can generate “value” allowing the club to make capital gains in the future has been confirmed.
Towards Mazzocchi’s return. The rossoblù, however, have no intention of stopping. After temporarily leaving him on stand-by, they have also returned to work on the Simone Mazzocchi deal. The 26-year-old Milanese striker (he will turn 17 on August 17) has returned to Atalanta but is available to take a step back again and join Cosenza permanently. His desire to be a rossoblù is also favored by the presence of Alvini. With the coach from Fucecchio, in fact, he experienced his best scoring season in Serie B, at Reggiana: in the 2020-2021 championship he scored 7 goals, but was unable to avoid the granata’s relegation to Serie C, still being the best scorer of his team.
