Countering the ‘Ndrangheta: summit in Reggio Calabria of prosecutors, investigators and analysts of the I-Can project

Starting today, the global contact points of the 20 countries participating in the I-CAN Project are meeting in Reggio Calabria: Prosecutors, Investigators and Analysts engaged in the fight against transnational organized crime.
Born in 2020, on the initiative of the Department of Public Security and the General Secretariat of Interpolthe I-CAN Project aims to promote the fight against the ‘Ndrangheta, by increasing awareness of the mafia phenomenon and developing joint operational counter strategies.
In four and a half years the Project has created a network that has allowed the capture of 101 dangerous ‘Ndrangheta fugitives throughout the world, as well as promoting the recognition of those indicators useful to the police forces in identifying the infiltration of the organization mafia in the economic and financial assets of the various countries.”
