The week that is opening is a decisive one for the fate of the municipal administration of Catanzaro, between the need to launch the new Board, after the reset decided by the mayor Nicholas Floweryand to “refound” the majority in the City Council, following the exit of the area headed by the regional and city councillor Antonello Talerico. A delicate activity also in light of the tensions that had been registered at the center-left table in recent days, before the radical choice of Fiorita and the breakup of Talerico (regional representative of Forza Italia) who, in fact, has erased the moderate component of a coalition that will now try to characterize itself as progressive. Not without controversy, given that the transversal alliance was born at the time of the runoff. In this regard, Talerico will hold a press conference tomorrow.
Yesterday, instead, the mayor gave a few more details than the few reported in the City Council last Friday. In the days to come, he announced, “we will verify whether the dream of breaking the power structure that governed the city, preventing its development and growth, is still achievable. I think so. And I also think that the city cannot afford to be under a commissionership for almost a year, causing everything in the field to collapse, from public works to community planning. I am sure that a sense of responsibility and love for the city will prevail in everyone.”
