A 36-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Crotone Company on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs. The operation arose during a territorial control service, aimed at preventing and combating crimes linked to drug trafficking in the city centre.
In the late afternoon, the military noticed an individual with a suspicious attitude wandering through the streets of the urban centre. His nervous movements and attempt to avoid the gaze of the patrols immediately attracted the attention of the Carabinieri, who decided to proceed with a more in-depth check.
During the personal search, the man was found in possession of approximately 100 grams of hashish. The military also extended the checks in the immediate vicinity of the control site, finding a further block of hashish, identical in shape and packaging to the one already seized.
The man, once accompanied to the barracks for the ritual formalities, was declared under arrest and subjected to the measure of house arrest, at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
