Today, around 1pm, the operations room of the Crotone fire brigade was alerted to a smoke leak from a shed used as a commercial business for the sale of electrical material “Elettrici” on the SS 106 Km.245, 246/400 in Crotone.
The fire brigade teams from the Crotone headquarters, having arrived on site, having noticed intense smoke coming out of the entrance shutter, with the help of the vehicles provided, prepared to extinguish and cool it both from above and from inside, reaching the area where there was the material affected by the fire in progress.
The intervention of the Fire Brigade teams prevented the spread of the fire and its thermal effects to the neighboring businesses, consisting of a restaurant, a car dealership and a ceramic shop which, out of caution and safety, were evacuated during the extinguishing operations.
The warehouse affected by the flames is approximately 500 m2 and there were no people involved. The Traffic Police was also on site for the aspects of traffic control they are responsible for.
