The Crotone Olympic swimming pool is temporarily closed. The managers of the plant, this morning, found the collapse of a portion of the ceiling in the area of the access corridor to the changing rooms.
Immediately after the occurrence of the event, the police were alerted and the Rari Nantes Auditore Crotone, a company that manages the plant, has submitted formal denunciation of the incident.
At the moment it is not possible to establish the causes of the collapse with certainty. However, a first technical advice, entrusted to a professional commissioned by Rari Nantes Auditore, highlighted the anomalous nature of the assignment, which is why no hypothesis is excluded.
The technicians of the Municipality of Crotone also intervened on the spot, which expressed full solidarity with the sports club and confirmed the availability of the body to collaborate to ascertain the causes and restore the full functionality of the structure.
As a precaution, all the activities foreseen at the Olympic swimming pool are temporarily suspended. The reopening of the system is expected within a few days, as soon as the restoration and safety of the places are completed.
