«There are 47 interventions for Calabria included by the Ministry of Culture in the three-year planning of public works for the three-year period 2025-2027for a total amount of 8.77 million euros. Of these, 10 interventions concern the Archeology sector, 15 the Fine Arts and Landscape sector, 18 archives and 5 libraries. For the year 2025 alone, 26 projects are financed for a total amount of 2.78 million euros.”
This was made known by the Hon. Wanda Ferro (FDI), Undersecretary of the Interior. For the archeology sector, they range from interventions on archaeological finds in the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone and Cosenza, to the archaeological area of the Temple of Apollo Aleo in Cirò Marina, to the urban archaeological park of Vibo, to that of the Taureans of Palmi, to interventions in the Park Laos to the investigations on the wall structure of Passo di Cancelo, to the conservation of the underwater cultural heritage.
In the Fine Arts sector they range from the protection of the landscapes and historical-artistic assets of the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone, Reggio Calabria and Vibo Valentia, to interventions on the headquarters of the superintendencies of Cosenza and Reggio Calabria, to interventions in the Ferramonti concentration camp of Tarsia, to the restoration works of the churches of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Sbarre in Reggio, of San Giacomo Apostolo in Melissa, of San Rocco in Bocchigliero, of the bell tower of the former church of Sant’Elia in Olivadi, of the icons of the Eparchy of Lungro, of the former Callipo palace in Pizzo, of the Convent of the Capuchin Fathers in Roccella Ionica.
