The prospect of a lightning inspection, as initially planned by the mayor, has now faded away Nicholas Floweryafter the summer break there will be some political aspects to resolve. The coupon is in fact far from being concluded: in the meantime the new public works councilor needs to be definedafter the widely announced step back of Raffaele ScaliseIn his place, the current chief of staff of the mayor is in pole position, Pasquale Squillace. A change that in principle should have taken on a merely technical character but that, instead, even more in light of the ongoing verification, is qualifying as political. Squillace, despite his technical role as a professional (he is an engineer), is also a figure very close to the mayor and, according to various and unequivocal rumors, in the same progressive area of the majority, particularly in the PD, his entry would be considered as “political”, therefore to be traced back first of all to the reflections and negotiations of the center-left table.
In the past few days, the table requested in the past weeks by the Democratic Party met with the mayor, with political forces and area movements, defining a new discussion in which to collect the contributions of each force, thus defining the next administrative path of Palazzo De Nobili. A meeting is also scheduled with the area headed by the regional councilor of Forza Italia Antonello Talerico.
