The Quaestor of Catanzaro issues a provision for detention of an irregular foreign citizen in the area and burdened by numerous police records
An Egyptian citizen, considered dangerous for public safety, at the disposal of the commissioner of the province of Catanzaro, was retained at the center of stay and repatriations of Brindisi.
The man, requesting international protection, was burdened by several criminal records and had been identified through the monitoring of the prison population carried out by the III section of the immigration office.
The investigations conducted on its position on the national territory have made it possible to verify that, against the foreign citizen, some sentences of conviction had been issued, already in res judicata, for detention and illegal transfer of drugs and receiving stolen goods. To aggravate his position there was an illegal relevance in Italy, after a previous repatriation in the country of origin.
After serving a definitive sentence for receiving stolen goods, the foreign citizen was taken from the agents at the time of release and accompanied to the aforementioned center where the request for international protection made by the same according to the accelerated procedures will be examined.
