After the away victory at Gelbison, the president of ACR Messina, Justin Daviswanted to address the square directly through a statement on its social channels to address the operational difficulties that the club is going through.
Davis speaks openly of a “very complicated phase” which is limiting the possibility of signing new players and carrying out other operations to improve the team. The crucial issue remains the question of surety.
While expressing the frustration shared with the fans (“We feel like lions in a cage”), the President assures that the club is working “intensely with Morris, together with the trustees and in the FIGC” to resolve the situation.
The message
Dear fans, I want to speak to you with the utmost sincerity.
This phase is very complicated: at the moment signing up or contracting new players, as well as carrying out other operations to improve the club, is a difficult and slow process until the guarantee issue is resolved by the competent authorities.
I know how frustrating this is for you, it’s frustrating for me too. I assure you that I am experiencing this situation with great concern: we feel the same caged lionswith all the desire to run but unable to do so.
We are working intensely with Morris, together with the curatorship and the FIGC, to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
Your patience and yours extraordinary support they mean everything to me and this team.
I promise you that soon the lions will come out of their cage and roar again.
Go ACR MESSINA! ❤️💛 Justin Davis
