A Moroccan was seriously injured, late this afternoon, by his 16-year-old son who intervened to defend his mother from a new attack by her abusive husband and no stranger to violent episodes in the family. The episode occurred inside a house in Chiavenna (Sondrio) where the couple lives with the sixteen-year-old and 4 other younger children.
The teenager, according to the initial investigations by the police, hit his parent with a knife at least twice, once in the back. A lung was probably punctured. The man was transported by an Areu helicopter to the Manzoni hospital in Lecco: the prognosis is reserved. The military informed the magistrate on duty of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of the Lombardy capital that he had ordered the minor to be reported in a state of freedom. The accusation is, for now, of very serious injuries.
