Catanzaro, trial requested for the authors of the alleged usury ring

The three people involved in the Catanzaro DDA investigation into an alleged usury ring that the Pullano family allegedly set up in the shadow of the Arena gang of Isola Capo Rizzuto risk ending up on trial. The prosecutor Pasquale Mandolfino he asked for an indictmentr Pietro Fiore Pullano, 34 years old, Thomas Mercury58 years old, and the entrepreneur Antonio Mazzea, 55 years old, all from Isola Capo Rizzuto. Pullano and Mercurio are accused of usury aggravated by the mafia method, while Mazzea must answer for simple usury. The preliminary hearing for them is scheduled for July 4th before the preliminary hearing judge of the Court of Catanzaro. The investigations conducted by the Crotone Carabinieri would have shed light on two hypothesized episodes of usury that would have taken place in Isola Capo Rizzuto, between December 2022 and April 2023, in an “Ndrangheta dimension”.
