The Sicilian Region has issued a warning for 14 Ionian municipalities that are late with the approval of the 2025 final budget, which now risk the activation of the replacement intervention.
The Department of Local Authorities – Service 3 Coordination of supervisory and control activities on local authorities – Inspection Office has notified the warning to comply with the mayors, the presidents of the municipal councils, the councilors and the secretaries and, for information, also the Control Section of the Court of Auditors, warning the bodies that have omitted or delayed the approval of the 2025 management report within the legal deadlines, or that in any case have not communicated the approval of the document, thus creating a presumption of non-compliance.
