It was supposed to be a Sunday morning of sport and relaxation, but it turned into tragedy on the seafront of Lamezia Terme. A man of 58 years old he lost his life this morning, caught by a sudden illness who left him no escape while he was jogging.
The drama before the eyes of passers-by
The man was walking his usual route in the coastal area when, around the early hours of the morning, he suddenly collapsed to the ground. The witnesses present, immediately sensing the gravity of the situation, raised the alarm. Despite the speed of the rescue, with the staff of 118 having arrived on site in a few minutes, the cardio-pulmonary resuscitation maneuvers did not give the desired outcome.
Activating the air ambulance is useless
The operations center, given the criticality of the clinical picture, had also ordered the sending of thehelicopter rescue for a possible emergency transfer to a specialized facility. However, the doctors had to accept the evidence, declaring the death of the fifty-eight-year-old on the spot, probably due to a sudden cardiac arrest.
