About fifteen drones was spotted this night over the military area of Elsenborn, in Eastern Belgium. The Belgian local media made it known by quoting the Ministry of Defense that is investigating the accident. The Elsenborn military base covers a total area of 28 square kilometers. It is a army training field with a safety area where shooting exercises take place and drones are also tested.

The sighting of about fifteen drones in the night above the military area of Elsenborn, Belgium, “proves once again that the entire EU is at risk”. This was stated by the spokesman for the European Commission for Defense, Thomas Regnier, in daily briefing with the press, highlighting that Brussels is in contact with the Member States and “it is up to them to carry out the investigations” to identify the origin and responsibility behind the incursions of suspicious aircraft in European air space.
