Four candidates in the regional elections of 5 and 6 October presented an appeal to the Regional Administrative Court of Calabria against the distribution of seats in the Regional Council. The applicants are Michele Comito (candidate with the “Occhiuto Presidente” list), Francesco Sarica (candidate with the Lega list), Giusy Iemma (candidate with the PD list) and Francesco De Nisi (candidate with the “Casa Riformista” list).
The appellants ask for the calculations on the distribution of seats to be revised, complaining of an error on the part of the automatic “Eligendo” system, the official platform of the Ministry, which, according to them, only considered the list votes, and not those expressed only for the candidates for the presidency of the Region. If the appeals are accepted, in the various stages of administrative jurisdiction, the current composition of the Regional Council could radically change.
