Elections in Lamezia, a “Christmas silence” that hides the work on names

“Christmas silence” in the political alignments of the citizens who are evidently “sharpening their blades” for the post-holiday recovery destined to untie knots and give certainties about names and alliances, considering that time is running out and the electoral spring is approaching. If from the center-right side, the name of the outgoing mayor Paolo Mascaro is supported by Forza Italia, in the silence of the other potential important allies (Fratelli d’Italia and Lega above all), in the alternative camp of the centre-left the situation is even more fluid, with the city’s Democratic Party, in the hands of commissioner Domenico Giampà who however despite having effectively taken the reins of the party, he has not (until now) entered into the merits of the names of a possible candidate for mayor.

In the totonomi on this side of the fence the one of stands out above all Doris Lo Moroalready indicated for some time by the secretariat ousted by the commissioner, as the card to focus on for the next elections. The magistrate, former mayor from 1993 to 2001 and then also a deputy, still seems to be the preferred choice of many local dem leaders. It is no coincidence that the president of the PD city club, Francesco Grandinetti, who was keen to defend the former board in the press, admitted that Lo Moro’s name could still be valid.
