The citizen coordinator of Forza Italia in Messina, Antonio Barbera, has resigned. The decision was based on the terrible result of the party that remained outside the city council. The decision was made official live on RTP during the broadcast on the election results.

The officialization

The party – we read in a note from the Azzurri – thanks Antonio Barbera for the commitment shown in his mandate and for the seriousness he has always shown, and also confirmed by this decision of his, taking note of the non-positive results of the local elections in Messina”.

Siracusano: I thank Barbera for the work of these years

“I take note of the resignation of the citizen coordinator of Forza Italia, Antonio Barbera, who spoke with me in the last few hours and with whom I shared this decision. I thank him for the work done in recent years, for the passion and enthusiasm he has always put into the exercise of this delicate role”. Thus Matilde Siracusano, undersecretary for relations with Parliament and member of Forza Italia from Messina.
“With the choice to resign, Barbera assumed political responsibility for the disappointing result obtained by Forza Italia in Messina. Now we expect everyone to assume their responsibilities, in the awareness that certain attitudes and some individualism certainly did not do our team any good, which, instead, in the electoral competition, would have needed unity and the convinced support of all its members”.
