All sections scrutinized in Reggio Calabria. An electoral outcome that rewarded the center-right and Francesco Cannizzaro as mayor. At Palazzo Sangiorgio, therefore, the geography of the City Council also changes radically between confirmations, exploits and excellent rejections. And starting from the latter, the flop of the civic candidates Eduardo Lamberti Castronuovo and Saverio Pazzano stands out: their lists failed to exceed the threshold.
The new city council
The centre-right won 24 seats spread across nine of the eleven lists in the field. The lion’s share goes to Forza Italia and the Cannizzaro mayoral list, both with 5 seats. A Fratelli d’Italia, third force of the coalition, 4 seats. Reggio Futura with over 7 thousand votes and 8.20% won 3 seats. 2 seats each for Lega and Alternativa Popolare. The remaining 3 seats, one each, go to We Moderates, Together we can and Action. For the centre-left the remaining 8 seats: the PD, the fourth electoral force in the city, goes to 3 seats plus the candidate for mayor Domenico Battaglia. The following lists won one seat each in the Council: La Svolta, Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra, Reset e Avanti – Psi – Italia Viva – Pri – Casa Riformista.
