Municipal elections also under way in Vibo Valentia after the second round of voting. Enzo Romeo won the challenge with Roberto Cosentino. The centre-left candidate overtook his centre-right challenger by 911 votes. Votes that Romeo won especially in central Vibo. Romeo prevailed in 30 out of 37 sections and surpassed Cosentino in almost all city sections. Cosentino only got it right in two sections: the 18th at the Vito Capialbi high school and the 37th at the nursery school in Via Palach (in this section the residents of the populous Moderata Durant neighborhood voted). For the rest, Romeo also held his ground in the hamlets: in Triparni, as expected, he drew a blank and also won in Longobardi. The centre-left candidate also held in Vibo Marina, while Cosentino can console himself with the victory in the two sections of Piscopio, in section 27 in Vena Superiore and in section 29 in Vibo Marina.
