A entrepreneur of the province of Palermo was the victim of usurers, among them also some unsuspected relatives: an uncle and a cousin. Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Territorial Department of Termini Imerese, together with the colleagues of the stations of Brolo, Volla and Sant’Anastasia, carried out two orders for the application of precautionary measures issued by the investigating judge.

After the estimated interrogation before the judge eight precautionary measures were issued with the obligation to present the judicial police against four Termitans aged between 27 and 52, two 34 and 60 years of Brolesi, a 42 -year -old looking for a 47 -year -old Anastasian 57 -year -old accused in various capacities, of usury, attempted extortion and drug dealing.

The investigations developed between September 2022 and August 2024, and made it possible to identify a dense network of unsuspected subjects who granted loans to usury rates between 60% and 1,029% per year in favor of the entrepreneur of Termini Imerese.

To deal with previous accumulated debts, the woman had turned to some of them without however being able to extinguish the previous debts why, she was forced to contrast new ones by other usurers. Thus entered a vicious circle that left her no way out.

Two of the eight suspects are the Neapolitan brothers and, one of them, is already detained for other crimes. Just the latter, while he was in prison, threatened the victim to induce her to weld her debt, with a 73% per year. The other free brother threatened the entrepreneur to take possession of two of his cars.

An uncle and a cousin of the victim are also involved in the investigations. These, taking advantage of the state of necessity in which they paid their joint, made them a loan of ten thousand euros making them believe, that the money came from dangerous workers of the Messina who, wanted to return the sum with rates of interest equal to 60% per year but in reality, were his relatives the workers.
