Add the Gazzetta del Sud as a source
The primary school journey for the pupils of classes 5A, 5B and 5C of IC Casalinuovo Catanzaro Sud, led by the head teacher Maria Riccio, ended with songs, smiles and a few tears.
The end-of-school-year event, “Festa del Grazie… in musica”, which took place on Thursday 28 May 2026 in the auditorium of the “Passo di Salto” complex, transformed the stage into a sound timeline of songs, poems, sketches and memories. The students retraced the journey that began as shy children in first grade, up to the curious and aware boys and girls of today.
A passage full of emotions
The transition from Primary School to Lower Secondary School has always been a moment of profound emotion that unites the principal, teachers, students and families. Welcomed five years ago at the primary school desks, the students have reached the end of this five-year period, ready to begin the wonderful adventure of secondary school.
Even for the teaching staff, as well as for parents and students, this delicate transition that went from the initial welcome to the moment of saying goodbye was a highly emotional experience.
Protagonists on stage between music and teaching
The real protagonists of the event were the students who, with great enthusiasm and talent, put themselves on the line as singers, dancers, poets, musicians and instrumentalists.
The show was the perfect culmination of a double work: on the one hand, the educational path carried out in these five years by the class teachers Annarita Aloi, Carolina Bianco, Sara Bilotta, Giuseppina Elia, Corinna Madia, Graziella Manco, Mara Manfreda, Domenica Minniti, Edda Peta, Francesca Primo, Palma Samà, Fabiola Ursino and by the teacher Giovanni Annetta; on the other, the activities of the music laboratory led by Loredana Mirabelli, music teacher in the complex.
Thanks to the families and the school
The event was a huge success, receiving warm applause from the families and the entire public. At such important stages we always share one word: thank you!
Special thanks went to the manager, to all the teachers complicit in this extraordinary success and to the precious collaborators. The greatest thanks went to the students and, above all, to the families, who confidently entrusted their children to the school for a path of harmonious growth in all its dimensions, aimed at training the future men and women of tomorrow.
Not a goodbye, but a goodbye
It was a unique moment of aggregation, sharing and pure emotion! The “Festival of Thanks… in music” was not a farewell, but a goodbye. With the promise that every child in the fifth grade will always carry with them the notes of this adventure.
