On yesterday night, around 4 am, the Port Authority of Gioia Tauro completed an important seizure operation, recovering 114 kilos of news from Sardinian.
The intervention was made possible thanks to the reporting of a patrol of the Siderno State Police, which has A suspicious van arrested near the junction for Galatro.
The van, escorted by the agents, was conducted at the Port Authority, where the military proceeded to check and weigh the load. The driver of the vehicle was therefore contested by the violation of the relevant sector legislation for the detention and transport of underwater fish products (short stories) and, due to the huge amount detained, an administrative sanction of 10,000 euros is high.
This intervention underlines the importance of collaboration and institutional synergy in the area as well as the constant commitment of the Port Authority of Gioia Tauro in contrasting illegal activities related to fishing and in the protection of fish resources, which represent a precious heritage for the marine ecosystem , for whose protection is of fundamental importance also the collaboration and reports by the operators of the sector operating in legality, as well as citizenship.
The checks by the military will continue continuously both at sea and on the ground especially in this period of the year in which there is an intensification of the fishing of the novelty of Sardinian underwool.
