Due to a fire that is affecting the slope and the presence of smoke inside the Montevetrano 2 tunnel, along the A2 ‘Mediterranean Motorway’ at km 17,000, it was temporarily closed the southbound section between the Pontecagnano Nord and Salerno Fratte junctions in San Cipriano Picentino, in the province of Salerno.
At the moment, for vehicles heading south, the Salerno Fratte exit is recommended, returning to the Pontecagnano Nord junction.
