“A year ago we were at the youth festival in Gaeta, and there Antonio Tajani, for the first time, made his prophecy: we will get 10% in the European elections and then 20% in the political elections. We in Calabria have moved ahead and in the meantime we have already had 18% in the European elections.
But I remember the climate that existed after the death of President Berlusconi, many thought that we would have problems with the barrier. And instead Tajani was right, and today we have a healthy, central, vital party, ready for new challenges”.
He said it Roberto Occhiutopresident of the Calabria Region and vice national secretary of Forza Italia, speaking at the Forza Italia Giovani party, underway in Bellaria (Rimini).
“How do we get to 20%? We get there by continuing to do what Tajani is doing, trying to fill the enormous space between Schlein and Meloni. A space that not even President Berlusconi has ever experienced in his experience, because in the past years at the helm of the PD there were Renzi, Letta, Prodi, leaders who were perceived by the electorate as moderate leaders.
Not today, today a moderate voter does not feel like siding with Schlein, and we can be the ones who aggregate this type of vote if we manage, in the interest of the center-right, to be not like those who want to make a difference at all costs – because Berlusconi taught us that the first value for those of Forza Italia is the unity of the center-right -, but like those who fight avant-garde battles like those that Antonio Tajani has fought together with the Forza Italia group in recent weeks on civil rights and on the Ius Scholae”.
