Resources for the Calabrian university system are increasing. The Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, signed the decree which defines the distribution criteria of the Ordinary Financing Fund (Ffo), the main financing instrument for state universities. Over 199.3 million euros have been allocated to the state universities of Calabria, an increase of 3.5 million euros compared to 2025 and 22.3% compared to 2019, confirming the strengthening of investments in the regional university system.

«With the Ordinary Financing Fund we continue to increase resources for Italian and Calabrian universities. A commitment – explains Minister Bernini – which translates into more planning capacity for universities, more support for research, quality of teaching and greater opportunities for students, researchers and teachers. But it’s not enough to invest more, you need to invest better. Our vision is clear: to make the Italian university system increasingly attractive and international, capable of valorising merit, offering young people greater opportunities.”
