Funds spent well and PA “capable”, this is how the brain drain in Calabria is stemmed

In a few days the new regional council of Calabria will take office and it may be useful to list the main problems and challenges it faces. In my opinion, the most important problem in Calabria is that of work and the lack of prospects for young people. Work understood as a lack of jobs, but also as low quality and low wages of existing jobs, a consequence of a narrow production base characterized largely by low added value sectors. On the other hand, the higher the level of education of young Calabrians, the greater the gap between their life and work expectations and what the Calabrian job market offers, resulting in the so-called brain drain phenomenon, which has taken on increasingly worrying dimensions in recent years.
