Born in 2007 and rooted for years in the Ecolandia Park, the festival has found a new home in the Aspromonte Geopark since 2021, where the artistic residency at the Ex Vivaio Forestale di Cucullaro represents the beating heart of the project. Here the artists experience the mountain, listen to its rhythms and transform the experience into permanent works installed in the Artists’ Woods of Gambarie.
The Forest is defined as a living organism: the installations interact with wind, light, snow and seasons, offering an immersive and sensorial enjoyment of contemporary art. The works invite pause, reflection and close contact with the material and the landscape, making the visitor an active part of the artistic process.
The fifteenth edition includes six new works, two performances and a multidisciplinary talk. Among the protagonists: Mauro Maurizio Palumbo with a habitable structure that amplifies the breath of the forest; Collettivo.Quarantotto with a participatory intervention that leaves temporary traces; Salvatore Piromalli with an oversized sculpture dedicated to the fire salamander; Maria Neve Vallone with a poetic installation on the concept of threshold; Beatrice Valenza with a sensorial micro-architecture; Paolo Infortuna with a modular sound structure.
Ilaria Notaro completes the group with an environmental texture that envelops trunks and clearings; Andrea Foti with a sound and sculptural intervention; TECHNE LAB with an interactive installation that reacts to visitors and climate variations.
The variety of languages - sculpture, weaving, technology, land art – enriches the route, consolidating the dialogue between artists, territory and community. The festival it generates a cultural experience that does not end in the days of the event, but leaves lasting traces in the landscape and in the collective memory.
The public appointment is scheduled for Friday 14 August 2026 at 6.30 pm in the Bosco degli Artisti, Viale dei Faggi 66, Gambarie d’Aspromonte.
