A 37-year-old man was arrested by the staff of the Flying Squad and the General Prevention and Public Aid Office of Crotone for ircrimes of domestic abuse, extortion and personal injury, committed against the mother.
The precautionary measure, issued by the Judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of the Calabrian city, arose from woman's complaint and from the subsequent investigative investigations carried out by the Flying Squad, which made it possible to reconstruct the story which saw the young man, already convicted in the past for mistreatment of the woman, once again the protagonist of several attacks against the victim, aimed at obtaining the money necessary to purchase the drug. After the first conviction, the mother had agreed to welcome her son back into the house, with the hope of being able to help him, but everything had proved useless as the young man's behavior had started again, with continuous requests for money and daily attacks, so much so that on the last occasion the woman was forced to go to the emergency room of the Crotone hospital to be treated, and then to contact the State Police. At this point, the “code red” procedure was immediately activated and, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Crotone, all the elements supporting the victim's story were collected in a short time, so much so as to determine the request and issue of a precautionary measure. The attacker, after being tracked down in the city, was taken to the local prison.
