The inaugural ribbon cutting coincided with the start of the planned activities. Since yesterday morning, the Roghudi community house officially went into action, with the opening of all services, including those transferred in recent days, from the former Inam premises of Melito Porto Salvo. For the Grecanica Area, the newly launched structure will have a leading role in strengthening local assistance. In fact, among the functions it will have to carry out is that of providing local health and social care, representing an organizational model designed to bring services closer to citizens, reducing inappropriate access to emergency rooms and limiting unnecessary hospital admissions.
The inaugural ceremony was held yesterday morning, in the presence, among others, of the general director of the ASP, Lucia Di Furia, of the mayor of Roghudi, Pierpaolo Zavettieri, of municipal administrators and of the area and technicians of the Reggio health company. The blessing of the rooms equipped to be as welcoming as possible by Don John Leula, parish priest of Roghudi, presided over the cutting of the ribbon and the entry into operation of the community house, one of the first of its kind to be inaugurated in the province of Reggio.
