“I have carefully read the observations made by Confcommercio Reggio Calabria on the topic of seasonal hourly rates for parking in some areas of the historic center of our city”, states the mayor of Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Falcomatà responded to the observations publicly noted by Confcommercio Reggio Calabria. As an Administration we are convinced that the development of our territory is necessarily linked to a progressive growth of mobility systems that take into account the tourist vocation of the historic center and in particular the Falcomatà seafront. At the same time, we believe it is essential to listen to and support the requests of the trade associations that fight daily for the development of the city's economy, starting with the world of commerce which certainly constitutes an essential social and employment lifeblood for our territory. I therefore consider it useful and appropriate to organize a meeting with the representatives of Confcommercio as soon as possible, in the next few days, to discuss the merits and identify together the most suitable solutions on the topic of seasonal hourly pricing for parking areas”.
