Bebe Vio is back. The Italian champion in fact won the Paralympic Fencing World Cup stage in Busanin South Korea: it is the fourth consecutive gold (out of as many trials) since he resumed competing last March, in which success came in Pisa, followed by those in Nimes in May and Warsaw in July.
The Italian had subluxated her elbow in the team final at the Tokyo Games and has since been out of action for almost 2 years.
An absence from the competitions that had caused her to drop in the world ranking: with these 4 golds Vio returned to the top 5 in the world. Now the world championships in Terni from 3 to 8 October.
